I offer personalised Greek tuition for adults, children, heritage speakers and
international learners who are looking for more than a standard language lesson.
As a Greek Philologist specialising in Linguistics, Qualified Teacher (QTS), and
experienced educator, my approach combines academic knowledge of the Greek language
with practical teaching experience and an understanding of how different learners
acquire and process language.
Whether you are starting from the beginning, reconnecting with your Greek heritage,
developing existing language skills or seeking a deeper understanding of Greek,
your learning programme is designed around your level, objectives, interests and
individual learning profile.
Rather than following a fixed programme for every student, lessons are adapted
according to the learner and evolve as their skills and confidence develop.
Individual online tuition available to learners in the United Kingdom and internationally.
Lessons are delivered one-to-one and planned according to your individual learning objectives.
Relevant digital learning materials are provided where appropriate.
Includes an additional complimentary 30-minute consultation and language assessment,
followed by your first full 60-minute lesson.
There is no separate free trial lesson and no obligation to purchase a package afterwards.
A limited number of face-to-face tuition appointments in London may be available by
individual arrangement.
Availability and fees depend on location and scheduling.

Where appropriate, I will also carry out an informal assessment of your current Greek
language skills. We then move directly into your first full lesson.
The extended first session is designed to make sure your tuition begins with a clear
understanding of your needs and objectives.
No Single Method Works for Every Learner
My background in Linguistics, language education and Special Educational Needs allows me
to draw upon different approaches according to the individual.
For learners who want to understand Greek at a deeper level, I can also explain the linguistic
structures and historical relationships that lie behind the modern language.
The objective is not simply to teach you phrases to reproduce. It is to help you understand
the language well enough to begin using it independently.

Where appropriate, students receive supporting digital materials connected with their
individual programme.
The aim is to create continuity between lessons rather than treating each session as an isolated
hour of tuition.

Through Greek in 30 Seconds, I explore the intersections between language, linguistics,
history, mythology, education and culture.

a genuine educational purpose and shared interest.

Simple, Clear Arrangements
Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments are normally
charged at the full lesson fee. Exceptions may be considered in genuine emergencies.
